Every project in this portfolio was designed from scratch, fabricated in our workshop and installed by our in-house team — no subcontractors, no standard components. Steel, glass and timber combined to the exact specification of each client and each space.
Internal Staircase Projects
Floating staircases, central spine designs, L-shape and U-shape configurations — in steel, oak and walnut, with frameless glass balustrades and integrated LED lighting. Every internal staircase is bespoke: designed for the specific space, engineered to Part K and BS EN 1090, with 3D visuals provided before fabrication begins.
External Staircase & Fire Escape Projects
External fire escape staircases, garden staircases and outdoor access structures — in hot-dip galvanised or powder-coated structural steel. All commercial fire escape installations are BS 9999 compliant, UKCA marked, with full structural calculations and CAD drawings provided as standard. Residential and commercial projects across the UK.
Glass Balustrade Projects
Frameless and framed glass balustrade installations — retrofit on existing staircases, new staircase balustrades, balcony railings and landing balustrades. Toughened and laminated glass to BS EN 14449, Part K and BS 6180 compliant, with structural calculations and fixing design included. Residential and commercial projects across the UK.
Bespoke Design — Every Project
Every staircase and balustrade in this portfolio was designed from scratch for the specific space, client brief and budget. Continox does not supply standard products from a catalogue — each project begins with a free on-site survey, proceeds to 3D photorealistic design visuals, and is only confirmed to specification when the client has approved every detail of the design.
The result is a staircase or balustrade that fits the space precisely, relates to the materials and finishes elsewhere in the building, and reflects the client's design intent rather than a supplier's standard range.
Continox designs and installs across the UK — from Hampshire and Surrey to London, the Midlands and beyond. Lead time from order to installation is typically 6–8 weeks for a complete staircase and 4–6 weeks for a glass balustrade.
In-House Manufacture & Installation
Every project in this portfolio was fabricated in Continox's workshop and installed by Continox's own installation team — no subcontractors at any stage. This matters because it means a single point of accountability from design through to sign-off, tighter quality control at every stage, and a direct relationship between the people who designed the staircase and the people who installed it.
Every installation includes full compliance documentation: structural calculations to BS EN 1090, CAD drawings in PDF and DWG format, UKCA marking and Declaration of Performance, and a dimensional compliance schedule confirming all Approved Document K requirements. These are provided as standard — not charged as extras.
