We Design, Manufacture & Install Bespoke Staircases
Continox Ltd is a specialist staircase and glass balustrade manufacturer based in Hampshire, England. Every staircase we build is designed in-house, fabricated in our own workshop, and installed by our own team — from the first sketch to the final tread.
Built on Precision. Driven by Craft.
Continox is led by Wojciech Iwanowski and Miroslaw Zagrodnik — two directors who between them bring decades of hands-on experience in precision steel fabrication, architectural metalwork, and construction project management. Wojciech oversees design, client relationships, and the creative direction of every project. Mirek runs fabrication, engineering, and workshop operations. Together, they built Continox from a structural steel workshop into one of Southern England's leading bespoke staircase manufacturers.
We are a registered UK limited company (Companies House no. 09967278), incorporated in 2016 and based in Hampshire. Our work ranges from contemporary floating staircases in private homes to commercial fire escape installations for HMOs, care homes, schools, and retail buildings. We specialise in the combination of structural steel, solid hardwood, and architectural glass — the three materials that define modern staircase design.
Every project follows the same process: we design it, we engineer it, we fabricate it in our workshop, and we install it with our own team. There are no subcontractors in our chain. The person who welds your staircase frame is the same person who fits it in your home. This is how we guarantee fit, finish, and compliance on every project.
Our Workshop
Our fabrication workshop in Hampshire is equipped for the full range of structural steel and architectural metalwork — from CNC cutting and precision welding to powder coating and hardwood finishing.
We work with S275 and S355 structural steel, solid European oak and walnut (40mm treads, hard-wax oil finish), toughened and laminated safety glass, and stainless steel (Grade 304 and 316 for coastal environments).
Every steel component is finished with a two-stage primer and powder coat system in any RAL colour. The standard is RAL 9005 (jet black), but we match any specification.
Design to Installation
Our process starts with a free site survey and design consultation. We measure the space, discuss your requirements, and produce concept drawings with a fixed-price quotation — no hidden extras.
Once approved, we produce full CAD drawings, fabricate the staircase in our workshop (typical lead time: 4–8 weeks), and install it with our own fitting team. We handle Building Regulations compliance documentation, structural calculations where required, and coordination with your builder if the project is part of a wider renovation.
From first contact to final tread, the entire project is managed by one team — ours.
