Continox is UK-based for design and engineering, but manufacturing is at our EN 1090-1 EXC2 certified facility near Kraków, Poland. For French projects this matters: the supply route is intra-EU B2B supply — no customs procedures, no import duty, no EUR 1 movement certificate, no Brexit-related complications. Transit time to Paris, Nice or Lyon is 3–5 working days. The structural engineering and design heritage remain UK-based; manufacturing and logistics are EU-based.

Every Continox staircase supplied to France is dimensionally engineered to satisfy the Code de la construction et de l'habitation (CCH) and applicable NF standards. For private residences: minimum 80 cm clear width, maximum 21 cm riser height, minimum 21 cm going. For ERP (public-access buildings): minimum 120 cm width, handrails both sides, contrasting nosings per arrêtés d'accessibilité. The technical pack includes a compliance schedule prepared by our structural team. Final compliance verification and DAACT remain the legal responsibility of the project's French-registered architect.

Plan for 4–8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery on site in France. Breakdown: 1 week for design sign-off (3D visuals + architect approval), 3–6 weeks fabrication at Kraków (steel, treads, glass concurrent), 3–5 working days transit by dedicated freight as intra-EU supply. Order during the structural shell phase — typically 6–10 weeks before planned installation.

Yes. The architect or maître d'œuvre supplies accurate site dimensions to Continox — floor-to-floor height, trémie (stairwell opening) width and length, structural substrate condition, finished floor build-up. Continox engineers and fabricates against the dimensions in the architect-approved 3D design. Final compliance verification, contrôle technique acceptance and Déclaration Attestant l'Achèvement et la Conformité des Travaux (DAACT) remain the legal responsibility of the project's French-registered architect.

Yes — Continox provides detailed 3D photorealistic visualisations of every staircase before manufacture begins. These show the staircase accurately placed within the actual stairwell — materials, finishes, balustrade style, lighting scheme. Two revision rounds included as standard at no extra cost. Files supplied: DWG, PDF, STEP on request for BIM coordination, plus signed structural calculations from a UK Chartered Structural Engineer.

Yes. Continox works directly with French architectural practices (cabinets d'architecture) and maîtres d'œuvre across Paris, the Côte d'Azur, Lyon, Bordeaux, the Alps and the wider market. The supply-only model is built around architect-led workflows: 3D visuals during avant-projet phase, technical pack in DWG/PDF/STEP for projet d'exécution, structural calculations as signed PDF, free remote technical support during installation. The architect remains the design authority and legal certifying professional throughout.
